Leichhardt State School was opened in 1959 and has long served the communities of Leichhardt, Wulkuraka and One Mile.
Our shared vision
Leichhardt State School:
Every classroom – every child.
Quality purposeful learning.
Every moment of every day.
At Leichhardt State School all teachers use a consistent approach to teaching and learning. They are committed to explicit teaching which engages students through powerful interactive styles of learning. Our school takes pride in the levels of improvement in student learning through a dedicated focus on literacy and numeracy.
Success is also achieved by enhancing student well-being, with dedicated staff that focus on resilience. At present we are partnering with two community groups ‘Pathways to resilience’ and ‘Kummara’, these two groups will help build the resilience our students need to ensure that safe, happy students learn better.
