PBL Whole School Expectations
At Leichhardt State School we pride ourselves on using Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL). This approach allows all staff to provide a consistent approach to reinforce the expected behaviours and teach our students about our core values and expectations. PBL is a framework that guides us to achieve academic and behaviour outcomes for all students. At Leichhardt, a weekly focus created around our core values – Kind, Safe, Learner and our values – Gratitude, Respect, Teamwork and Perseverance is developed and explicitly taught during connect sessions. Our students’ celebrations in academics, behaviour and attendance are celebrated daily with Gotcha rewards, weekly with certificates, raffles and trophies as well as each term with a Mind, Body and Character Day.
